GCC Appoints a New CEO
GCC has appointed Mr. Ahmad Almohammadi as the company’s Chief Executive Officer, effective from 21st of November 2021, succeeding Mr. Aiman Mihyar who has departed the company upon retirement after leading the company from 2015 to 2021.
Holding an Engineering Degree from KFUPM, Almohammadi has nearly 10-years of experience in business and engineering management, and 20-years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
He has played an integral role in major international and local companies. A most recent role prior to joining GCC, Al-Mohammadi has been part of Baker Hughes Incorporated where he has played an important role in developing and executing the corporate business development strategy.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Al-Mohammadi said he was excited to be taking on the role and be part of GCC.
“Our priority is to foster an environment for our people to enable them to generate value for themselves, the company, and our clients.” said Al-Mohammadi. “We do not control the outside environment and the past few years have proven that rapid unpredicted change is the norm. We intend to harness the situation by optimizing ourselves and empowering our existing capabilities to maximize value for all of our stakeholders”.
His strength in operations, relationship building, and his extensive experience in engineering and business management within the oil and gas industry which carries together the problem-solving practicality of engineering and the strategic planning abilities of business management will undoubtedly enable him to be an effective CEO for GCC.
